Use the video player controls

When you are playing a video, the video player controls will be accessible at the bottom of the player.

The first button allows you to play or pause the video. Press this button as needed during viewing to pause the video at your current spot or start it up again.

The reversing arrow allows you to rewind the video in ten second increments.

The time on the left represents how far you are in the video and the time on the right is the total length of the video.

The progress bar, or scrub bar shows your progress in the video. The blue area represents how far you are in the video, and the dark gray shows how much of the video has loaded.

To the right of the progress bar, the right-facing arrow allows you to skip to the next video.

The HD button allows you to adjust the video quality. We recommend trying the 720p setting to get the very best quality. If the video quality does not look good to you, try setting it to Auto so that they player can automatically find the best quality for your bandwidth.

Click on the CC button to turn the closed captions off or on.

To adjust the volume, hover over the volume control button, then drag the slider up or down.

To watch the video in full screen mode, click on the full screen button. Press the Esc key on your keyboard to go back to the course page.

Below the player, to the right, you will also have access to the complete transcript of the video you are watching. Click the Transcript icon to open the transcript and read along. The current text will be highlighted in blue.
