Update message settings

You can change some basic messaging settings. For privacy reasons, you may wish to change your settings so that members you have not added as contacts can't message you, or you might want to allow messages from other people in your courses. 

To do this, click on the drop-down arrow next to your name on the site toolbar. Hover over My Profile, then click Preferences.

Under the User account heading, click on Message preferences.

You can now choose your desired settings from the options on the right-hand side of your screen.
