To create a video activity, first navigate to the course page. An unpublished course will not appear in the course catalog, so you will have to access it via the Administration block.
Once you are on the course page, go to the Administration block, and under Course administration click Turn editing on.
In the desired section of the course, click Add an activity or resource.
From the resulting menu, select Video activity, then click Add.
In the General section, enter the video title. You can use the same title for both the Name and Short name fields.
Enter a short description into the Description text field.
Under Activity completion, select Activity marked complete when user has watched the video.
For the first video in a course only, select the checkbox next to Default video in the Video section.
This sets the video as the default image for the video player. If you do not select this checkbox for the first video, the video player will not appear on the page.
Click on Select video to open the video library.
Depending on how many videos are in your organization's library, you can either scroll to find the video or click Filter Library View to narrow the selection.
Select the desired video by clicking the radio button. Choose Add in the drop-down menu in the top left and then click Apply.
The video will now appear at the top of the page. Click on the Back to course page button to return to the course page.
Continue building out the video activities as needed.
At any time, you can make changes to the video activity description or title. Click Edit and make any necessary changes.
If you need to add a video or change the current video assigned to an activity, click on the Manage videos link.
