You will be taken to the Add a new course page as soon as you add a new course to a category. This is a guide to filling out the sections.
General
Give the course a name and a short name. The short name will show up in the side menu when users are on the course. Since you selected the category on the previous page, the course will be placed in that category, but you can use the drop-down if you picked the wrong category. The visibility is set to Show by default. The course will not be visible to users until it is added to a catalog, but if you want to create the course and add it to a catalog but keep it hidden, choose Hide here.
If your course will only be relevant for a specific period, you can set an end-date, but we always just leave it open. You can set due dates in learning paths if you want users to complete a course before a certain time. Please be aware that the default beginning date is always a day after creation, so if you want the course to go live right after you make it, change the date to today.
We don’t use a course id, course level, or credit hours, but feel free to use these categories if they are relevant for you.
